JESUS CHRIST! He happens to be the Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth, and who died on the cross to take away the sins of the world, I learned, by reading the Bible, which is the Word of God, that I was a sinner. Romans 3:10 says, "There is none righteous, no, not one." And, Romans 3:23 also says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." By that I understood that I could not enter into the kingdom of God as I was. I needed to be cleansed and forgiven from all of my sins. Because Romans 6:23 says that, "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." God made a way for us to be saved from eternal damnation, He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross, to shed His precious blood to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The bible says that, "He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John3:18). Jesus' disciples preached His word and told the people to "repent, (meaning we should be sorry for our sins and turn away from doing wrong) and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins: you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) italics mine I've learned that to walk as Jesus would have us walk we need to feed ourselves daily from the Word of God, the Bible, and to pray without ceasing. We need to have a personal relationship with the Lord on a daily basis. The first Epistle of Peter is a great resource for us as christians along with many other scriptures, to help us walk in the spirit. 1st of Peter 1:13-16 says, "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, as I am holy."
